Woodturning prices 2011

For general woodturning training in our newly refurbished workshop are the following lathes:

2 Nova DVR
Omega Stubby
Vicmark VL300
Oneway 2436

Maximum five students

One to one training £150
Two to One training £100 each
Three to One training £80 each
Four to One training £70 each
Five to one training £60 each

All safety equipment, tools, materials and lunch will be supplied

A one to one course for one person over two days is £250

One day course Hat Training

One to one Hat training course half size hat £200.
Two to one Hat training course half size hat £150 each.
Each student will also get a small hat bending jig to keep a Workbook and photos of the event.

At the end of the course each student should produce a half size hat.

Two day course Hat Training

One to one hat training 2 day course £380.
Two to one hat training 2 day course £250 each.
All safety equipment, tools, materials and lunch will be supplied.

Each student will also get a small hat bending jig and large hat bending jig to keep and a Workbook and photos of the two day event.

Day one each student will produce a half size hat along with me (day one is to see and get all of the skills needed to produce a hat step by step).

Day two each student will produce a full size hat with me giving tuition every step of the way (Apply everything that has been learned on day one to a full size hat).

At the end of the course each student should produce a half size and full size hat.

Please note Hat turning training is advanced and available to competent turners.

Tuition in the Students Own Workshop

The fee for private tuition is £90 half day or evening:

£150.00 per person per full day
£250 per person two days.
Travel mileage @ 35p per mile to students home

Full payment is required at time of booking
Gift vouchers can be purchased and paid in full at time of order
Gift vouchers to be used within 12 months of purchase
On receipt and clearance of cheques training date will be confirmed.
Provisional dates can be made at time of booking.

Home Demonstration Days

I do a home demonstration day and the costs are as follows:

Demo for 4 people (Car full) £40 per person including lunch

Demo for 6 people £30 per person including lunch

Demo for 8 people (2 Cars) £25 Per person including lunch

Demo for 12 people (3 Cars) £20 Per person including lunch

12 is the maximum for a home demo the more people the better for price

Some clubs have suggested getting a mini bus if there is 12 to share the fuel costs

We start at 10 and finish about 4.30

Subjects for home demonstration days can be agreed at booking

Travel and accommodation to be agreed in line with current fuel prices

Presentations

Powerpoint presentation lasting one hour to community groups, for example WI, U3A £50 + 35p per mile.

Cancellations policy

4 Weeks and above Full refund less deposit
2 to 4 weeks 50% refund less deposit
1 to 2 weeks 25% refund less deposit
Less than 1 week no refund

A £50 non refundable deposit is required when booking.
