Scottish Elm Hat This is my favourite hat, which I made from a large native Scottish Elm blank, a very rare and unusual thing for the UK since the native Elm population was largely destroyed by Dutch Elm Disease.

The blank weighing 190 pounds (85Kg - about 40 bags of sugar) was given to me by my good friend Gary Lowe and came all the way from the highlands in Scotland.
